I’ve done a lot of conferences. A lot of parties. The process always feels daunting, mainly because it’s so easy to get them wrong. Events are like a walking, talking, eating sales pitch, and many sales people always want direct conversations with little fluff. The only problem is that’s not exactly what people really want. I see events as a time to host something really memorable and utterly unboring. It’s like throwing a party — you’re either going to make one that people want to go to every year, or be the one that people give excuses for not attending. “Oh, you’re throwing another party? I have to get my dog’s teeth cleaned that week, whenever it is.” This page is just a taste of all the stuff I’ve been a part of lately. What’s not pictured are the seven VR experiences I helped build, and a video of me hopping on stage to sing Dr. Feelgood with a Motley Crue cover band. I need to find that video.
